Greetings! My name is Wim and this is my son Logan. We are the creators of the Figgy Pudding Baking Kit. This all started in 2019, I was sitting by the fire listening to Christmas songs when curiosity got the best of me. I was determined to figured out what is this “figgy pudding” that they are demanding in the song “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. After a quick internet search, I discovered that it is an old English dessert made of figs and dates.

I was surprised that it is more like a cake than a pudding. In the UK they call a lot of desserts “puddings”, so it not like the puddings that we think of here in the States. I immediately thought how fun would this be to make it for my family. So that is what I did! It was SO much fun making a dessert that nobody in my family has had before, but knew of it from the song. We were all completely blown away at how delicious this was!! It was warm, sticky and oh sooo good!

Logan who was 13 years old at the time said to me “Dad, I want this every year at Christmas”, so our new family tradition began. I have been making this for my family for the last 6 years and it never disappoints.

Over the years I was shocked that most people that I asked, have never had it. That was my lightbulb moment. My goal was to share this with as many people as I could reach.

I embraced the idea of making a Figgy Pudding Baking Kit. I wanted people to make this an experience that can be shared with the entire family.
